National Finals Rodeo is temporarily moving to Arlington, Texas for the 2020 season, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The event will be hosted at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. The brand new stadium holds 40,300 people.

The decision came after a Wednesday morning conference call between Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and Texas Rangers officials.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott then confirmed the move via Twitter.

“This year’s National Finals Rodeo will move from Las Vegas to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This event belongs in Texas,” said Abbot, via Twitter.

Las Vegas has hosted NFR since 1985.
