Have your kids ever gotten you in trouble with the law? Well, for one Michigan family their child was responsible for a citation, according to M Live.
During Memorial Day Weekend the family was at Michigan’s Dead River Basin fishing when their child caught a walleye fish.
An officer saw the catch and rolled over to congratulate the child. However, during the exciting exchange, the child says “Mommy and daddy don’t have life jackets.”
The officer thought he was joking, but upon further inspection on their boat, the child was telling the truth and immediately wrote a citation.
Michigan law requires personal floating equipment for every person on board a boat.
